which is then interfaced to thediver’s slave subseaUTsystem.

Thecompact systemprovides stateof theartuser interfaceandcontrol facilitieswith thesubseaunithoused ina lightweight ruggedized

base. Thesystempermits real-timevideo recordingwith remotemonitorviewing.

compact, simple-to-use subseaunit. Just250mm

highand380mmindiameter (includinghandle

ring)andweighing14kg inair, theDigital Flaw

Detector is easilydeployedandoperatedby the

diver.

Thescreenhasaclearvisionareaof160mmx

100mm.Thediverhasonlya singlecontrol

function tooperatewhich is thegaincontrol for

indication investigation.

Allpower to thesubseaunit isprovided fromthe

surfaceunit. Probescanbechangedsub-seaas

bothunit andprobesare fittedwith thewell-

proven EOSubseaConnectors.TheSubseaPod’s

workingvoltage is24V.

TopsideModule

TheTopsideModule is supplied ina rugged,dust-

proof case.Only twocablesare terminatedonthe

frontof theunit, thesebeing themainspower

sourceandumbilical.

Inside thecase, thecontrolshavebeendesigned

tobesimple touse.Themainscreen is in the lidof

thecasewith thedigital flawdetector screen in

themainbody.Controls are themainon/off

switch, single/twincrystal selection, various

terminations for computerorVCRconnections

anda remotecontrol for themainscreenmenus.
