STUDENT ERGONOMICS

ErgonomicsThe term "ergonomics" is derived

from two Greek words: "ergon," meaning work, and "nomoi," meaning natural laws. Ergonomists study human capabilities in relationship to work demands.

Student Ergonomics A study of set of postures that a student

should incorporate in order to make his stay comfortable in typical academic settings.

The PurposeTo find out how exactly students position

themselves while sitting in classrooms and while using computers

To judge how close to accurate these positions and postures are

Use the results practically

Objectives

To find if students have the accurate knowledge of ergonomics related to their daily lives

To employ the findings to help create awareness about student ergonomics

Benefits

Result

Overall – 41% of the students are sitting in the accurate posture while in classrooms and using computers

Implementations and

Recommendations

Create awareness in students about the importance of ergonomics and how it will benefit them in the long-run

Conduct workshops and seminars in college to illustrate the correct postures that should be adopted by students

Use brochures and flyers to display the perfect ergonomics through pictures for students

Management support to send emails to all students enlightening them about the seriousness of student ergonomics

We hope that our study contributes to the student body positively and helps

them in all possible aspects
