Some points about storyboards (1)

• Keep it simple! You don’t need to be a great cartoonist to draw a good storyboard frame

• The key is to include only the detail necessary to communicate the idea

• Think about action or camera movement within the frame

• Your ‘rough-cut’ and finished project are likely to differ from your original storyboard, this is ok!

• You should use your storyboard as a guide to follow when shooting and then add in extra shots or camera set ups

Anamatics

Animatics

• Animatics are moving storyboards

• You can add music, sound effects and transitions

• They will help to give you an idea of how the finished sequence will look

• Your animatic does not need to be the complete opening

• You should aim for 20 frames
