Report of Feedback taken from different education stakeholders for Design and Review of M.C.A.
Syllabus in the Academic Year 2012-13
Introduction:
This is a feedback report on the Curriculum Analysis. We have carried out the analysis of Education
stakeholders like Teachers, Employers, alumnus and students. The analysis is done in a scientific way
through the use of Surveys. The inclusion of teachers and other education stakeholders made the process
participatory and enriching. Furthermore, this feedback is also part of the process in order to ensure that
participants’ experience and recommendations are taken into consideration for the future enhancement of
the MCA syllabus/curriculum.

This section presents an analysis of the feedback provided by the education stakeholders of the
curriculum analysis process. The section is divided into four major subsections. The first subsection
presents feedback from the Teachers, second subsection presents feedback from the students, third
subsection presents feedback from the Employers while the forth one presents feedback from the Alumni.
Step 3
Recommandations were drawn on the basis of analysis and comments given by different education stakeholders.

Analysis is done on the basis of the feedback and is taken from education stakeholders.

1. Syllabus need to be revised as per the industry standards.
2. There are some subjects in the MCA 2008 pattern syllabus, which employers as well as teachers
gave the suggestions to update.
3. Following are the collective suggestions suggested by the stakeholders regarding the subject
syllabus enhancements: Need to focus on
a. New web development technologies like Jquery, ASP.NET.
b. More practical approach than theory.
c. Knowledge management tools.
d. Data mining in more details.

has suggested to include the advanced technologies in the syllabus.
3. Following are the collective suggestions suggested by the stakeholders regarding the syllabus
enhancements and need to focus on
a. New web development technologies like Sharepoint, R programming.
b. Programming Subject theory and project should not be there in the same semester.
c. Dissolve track system and specialized certification programme have to be added in the
fifth semester of MCA Syllabus.
