South Carolina’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 9.9 percent in March which is the lowest the state has achieved since its all time high of 11.8 percent in 2009. Since just December 2010 the rate has declined from 10.9 percent to 9.9 percent. This rapid improvement indicates South Carolina’s employment situation is on the mend.
