Criteria for inclusion

• Cities include established and emerging hubs• Registry companies with revenue < €20 million• Crunchbase companies that have raised investment• Master dataset broader than “startups”• Users can narrow it via filters

Methodology 1. Acquire registry data2. Filter by NUTS boundaries3. Import Crunchbase data for each city4. Match Crunchbase & registry data5. Filter out companies >€20m unless

present in Crunchbase6. Geocode remaining companies7. Identify companies with subsidiaries

in multiple cities8. Build graph of city-to-city connections
