Our School Council Reps over the coming weeks and months will be encouraging their classes to continue the fight against plastic pollu-
tion, which was started last year in Science Week.
We are embarking on a project to make eco bricks in order for each class to create planters. We hope we can annually grow and take care of plants in Science once the planters are made.
This project is being funded by the PTA.
WE NEED YOUR HELP ON COLLECTING THE FOLLOWING:
2 Litre plastic milk cartons (washed out please) and single use plastic wrappings (like empty crisp bags.)
Please continue to send in with your child over the coming weeks
until all our planters are made. Thank you
Exciting News - Book Fair
The scholastic book fair raised £672.00! Thank you to everyone who supported the book fair this year. We can now spend that amount on new books for the children,
Parent Pay
Well done and thank you to everyone who has already down-loaded the app. Toast money is working well, the next step is to give permission, pay and choose a school packed lunch, if necessary on the app for school trips.
As your child’s trip draws near you’ll be notified on the app to give your permission etc. this will save lots of time.
If you need your login please see
This half term...
Our Gospel Value theme is Hope. Our definition: ‘“Hope is to be confident something will happen
and helps you keep going.”
‘May God fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope’ Romans 15:13
We will be looking for children showing examples of living out this value in our school and they will be then be featured on our special
‘Gospel Value Heroes’ display board in our hall. If you have any examples of your child showing respect at home this half term please
email photos to Mrs Armstrong or your class teacher and we can share it with the whole school in Worship time.

Dear Parents,
I can’t believe that we are already half way through the year! I am certainly enjoying working with
you and your wonderful children.
Bob Turner visited us to lead a special worship. He encouraged us to think about the ways we could
re-use single-use plastics. We are ow collecting milk bottles which we will fill with single-use plastic
to make eco-bricks. These eco-bricks will be used to build planters for the Pavilion field. We can’t
wait to start planting them up in spring! Thank you to Mrs. Panther and Mrs. Barnes for all their hard
work on this project.
Year 1 had a lovely—but very chilly—trip to Ribby Hall to complete the wildlife walk. All the children
behaved beautifully.
Have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Armstrong
