St. Patrick’s Cricket Team cordially invite parents and anybody else who might be able to hold a bat, catch or spin a cricket ball to participate in this month’s cricket match.
If you are new to the game and bambozzled by the mirade of terminologies, you can come along and learn about some of the strange names. For instance, why is the batsman looking crestfallen after being out for a ‘golden duck?’ Why is the umpire counting ‘maidens’ with six pebbles in his pocket? What on earth is a ‘short, fine leg!?’ or where might you locate ‘silly point’, ‘cow corner’ or ‘square leg?’ Was that a ‘bouncer’, a ‘beemer’ or a ’long hop’ and is the spin bowler perveying a ‘chinaman’, an ‘off-break’ or a ‘googlie?!’
The students will enlighten you with how to play the ‘ramp shot’ and the ‘reverse sweep’, so do come along and take part.
Date: Friday 14th June
Time: 12:30pm (prompt) – 2pm
Venue: Community Sports Centre, CWCW Enniscorthy
Please let Andrew know if you can play.
The people living in Lazy Daisy Village are dropping their rubbish everywhere. They really
are lazy bunch.
The poor Litter Muncher is doing her best to sweep, collect and tidy the village but she is
tired and overwhelmed by the mountain of litter.
Somebody needs to tell Ms. Snippet, Dr Peel, Mr Doughnut, Postman Pat and Mr Outofdate
to clean up their act and help The Litter Muncher tidy up this mess.
Everybody contributing towards taking care of our environment, is the central theme of our
Midsummer Drama. The students have started to rehearse their lines, the artisans are
sketching, and Michael is busy constructing Munching Machines…. The Rubbish Musical re-
ally is ‘A Load of Rubbish.’

A busy May in the garden with JC4-Birch got all into recy-cling and sowed pumpkin seeds in toilet roll holders. Cian in SC11-Alder is shown with the plants we grew from the seeds we planted back in the Spring.
