STUDENTS: DO YOU HAVE A BELT? ! Belts should be picked up in room 137 before going to your
locker and Advisory.! After 8 AM, students are to remain in their AP classes and belts
will be delivered to each and every AP class. ! AP Teachers, please let the student helpers know who needs a
belt.! Students, you will have to print your name and 6th hour teacher
on the clipboard.

2019-2020 Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay contest update:FMS has three finalists for the 2019-2020 MLK Essay Contest. They are Sri G., Alex O. and Bella Y. These three will go to a ceremony on Sunday, January 19th at Union Baptist Church to find out who the winner is. The winner will also read their essay. We are so proud of these students/all students who submitted essays for this contest. Great Job!

What can you look forward to? Each Young Americans Performing Arts Workshop brings an incredible combination of energy, teamwork, and confidence, using music as the tool.

Available to all students throughout the surrounding area, grades 3-12.

FMS - 7th & 8th Grade Boys’ BasketballThe Falcons 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Little Flower and came away with a 40 to 39 victory. Carlos D had 23 points in the game. Great defense late in the game sealed the victory.
The 7th grade Falcons cruised to an easy victory against Little Flower. Torian C. scored 3 of his 10 points on a buzzer beating 3 pointer at half time. Brennan F. added in 8 points, while Lashawn A. led all scoring with 11.
Good luck to the 7th & 8th grade basketball teams as they travel to Mt. Zion today for a 4:30 tip-off.

FMS Go Blue for ALS!! The annual FMS “Go Blue” basketball game to benefit the
ALS association is Wednesday, January 15th vs Blessed Sacrament. Tip-off is 4:00 PM.
! Students must leave the building at 1:30 dismissal and return for the game. The doors open at 3:00PM.
! We are asking students not to go to Hy-Vee or Caribou to hang out after school.
! Start thinking about your “blue” costume for the game!

It’s time to get your act Together! Auditions for the annual FMS Talent show will be after school this Friday, January 10th!
