Creating Your CAR1. Go to www.livetext.com 2. Enter your username and password 3. Select Login.*Note: Supported Internet Browsers:

1. Click the Documents tab at the top of the screen

3. In the Folder drop-down menu, choose LSSC Program

4. Click on the Choose a template drop-down menu to see all competency sets, each preceded by the prompt “LastNameFirstName.” Select the first competency set. “LastNameFirstName ACCESS SERVICES COMPETENCY SET”

5. In the Title field, use the following convention to name your competency set: LastNameFirstName Access Services (i.e., DoeJane Access Services).

6. Select Save as New Document. This will open your CAR folder for Access Services

Congratulations!You have created your CAR Folder for Access Services.

Repeat steps 6 and 7 for all competency sets, even for electives you do not think you will choose to complete.

After creating a CAR Folder for each competency set, you will never repeat these steps.

Uploading Certificates of Course Completion (CCC)

1. Upload the CCC, provided by your instructor

2. Under the Table of Contents in the desired competency set, select “Taking LSSC Approved Courses.”

3. Click on the Edit button, located to the right of each section in the page to access the Section Editor.

1. Click on the Insert File Attachment tab. A new screen will appear.

2. Click on the Upload New File button.

3. Click the Browse button

4. Browse your computer files & select the CCC. 5. Click on the file name or click open. The file will be uploaded to

your CAR, like attaching a file to an email.

The attachment shows at the bottom. Click Save and Finish to return to the Competency Set page.

Submitting a CCC for Documenting Progress*

At the top of the competency set page, click on the Send for Review button to open the Search for Reviewer(s) window.

*CCCs are not reviewed by evaluators, they are submitted so that the program can document your progress toward certification.

“LSSCP_Admin.”

The My Institutions box is already checked. You don’t need to change that.

The screen will show that your selected reviewer is LSSCP Certification Administration.

Uploading Portfolio Documents Click on the Competency you wish to work on and

click Edit

Highlight any PDS so the evaluator knows. If you choose to use your own documentation instead of a PDS, do not highlight any PDS.

Indicate to the evaluator in which order to read your attachments.

Click on the File Attachment tab. A new screen will appear. Click on the Upload New File button

Click Save & Finish to return to the competency set page. Scroll down to confirm that you have successfully attached your documents.

Submitting a Completed PortfolioAfter you have uploaded documents for ALL competencies in a

set and completed a Personal Learning Statement, click Send for Review.

In the box at the bottom of the window, type in “LSSCP_Admin.”

Select LSSCP Certification Administration.

Portfolio Evaluation

The LSSC Office will assign your portfolio to evaluators and contact you when your

portfolio has been reviewed.

Tips to RememberTo upload any files, you first have to click edit.

Uploading files is like adding e-mail attachments.

Highlight a PDS and indicate order attachments should be read.

Always save your work by clicking save and finish.
