GEOGRAPHY OF SPAINSpain is a large country on the Iberian peninsula. The largest city and also the capital city is Madrid. State is divided into 17 autonomous regions into each other, and these in turn into 50 provinces. Spain is separated from Europe by the Pyrenees, back almost to the south of Africa. The state includes two archipelagos: Balearic and Canary Islands. Spain is an attractive country for tourists.
