7. What does mean “Andalusia”?

• Andalusia is the most populous and the second largest in area of the autonomous communities in Spain.

• The territory is divided into eight provinces: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Seville.

• The Spanish eat 3 times per day (Desayuno, Comida, Cena).

• Spanish cuisine is specific, because it is based on the old rules.

• In Spanish cuisine are popular snacks – tapas. It can be warm and cold dishes.

The most traditional dishes:

• Arroz con Pollo/ Chicken & Rice;

• Gazpacho/ Andalusian Tomato Soup

• Gambas al Ajillo/ Garlic Shrimp

• The New Year (Año Nuevo). The clock shows the twelve rings of bells in New Year’s Eve when people eat the twelve grapes.
