routes

The proposal Dual carriageway bypass – two lanes in each

direction Flyover at Penn Inn roundabout Intermediate junction at Aller giving access to

Kingskerswell, Decoy and Stoneycombe Terminal junction onto Torbay Ring Road

Feb 2011–SDLR included in “Development Pool”

45 schemes nationally £630m available in CSR period, against

potential bids of £950m Best and final offers by 9 Sept 2011 Decision announced 29th November 2011

State of readiness Planning permission in place Land Drainage consent granted Scheme Orders published and public inquiry held –

Inspector’s report published All prior to construction planning conditions signed off Natural England licences for disturbance of protected

species achieved Initial accommodation works carried out.

approval May 2012 Full approval granted by DfT May 2012 Galliford Try appointed as Main Contractor
