Socratic seminar workshop

In Partners:•Write as many open-ended questions as possible in 10 minutes.

• Be ready to give examples to support that there is evidence in the text to answer your question.

• Questions should be written so that when answered, students can give evidence from the text to support their answer.

open-ended question.

• Put a star on the tickets that you think should be considered for the Socratic Seminar.

• Address each other as Mr. or Miss

• Respect each other (what does that look like?)

• Speak one at a time (raise hand, wait until called on)

• Dress nicely

Ask clarifying questions if you are confused
