Not every thing is great in Malaysia. The slums are a squalid part of a city, inhabited by poor people it is full of rubbish and they are flooded, the importance of cleaning the slums is relevant throughout Asia since many countries there suffer from a lack of clean water as the slums do. Recently, issues have been discussed in Malaysia’s political agenda and the country is trying to improve the 8.4% of the population which does not have access to freshwater. The slums are full of unhygienic water but this area is being cleaned throughout different policies which have been proposed. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has been supporting policies and projects for improving it, such as conserving river basins., focusing on sustainable water use and conserving freshwater habitats.
