Topic: Wireless Encryption (WPA) Configuration – Configure the Wireless Encryption setting through the router’s admin web via Internet Explorer (IE) It is highly recommended to configure the Wireless Encryption by wired connection. a. Access into the admin page (http://192.168.2.1/). b. Key in the Username & password to login; default username: admin; default password: smcadmin.

c. Click WLAN � Security. Choose WPA2 Mixed under Encryption. Enter a password in the Pre-Shared Key and click Apply Changes.

d. Scroll up and click on Commit/Reboot.

e. Make sure “commit current settings” is checked and click on Reboot.

f. After reboot is done, Security is up.

d. A small window will popup from here. Make sure Key Length is under 64-bit and Key Format is under Hex(10 characthers). Create a Password Key under Encryption Key 1. Click on Apply Changes. Note: Default Tx Key must be on Key 1 and Password Key only needs to be entered in Encryption Key 1.

e. Scroll up and click on “Commit Reboot”.

f. Make sure “commit current settings” is checked and click on Reboot.

f. After reboot is done, Security is up.

f. Make sure “commit current settings” is checked and click on Reboot.

f. After reboot, MAC address entered will not be able to surf net.

c. Click Advanced � Firewall � URL Blocking. Check on Enabled under URL Blocking and click on Apply Changes. For blocking Website link: Enter the website address under the Domain Name and click on Add Domain Name. For blocking Keyword: Enter the characters under the Keyword and click on Add Keyword. Note: Blocking keyword will deny any access to website address with the keyword entered.

d. click on “Commit Reboot”.

c. Click Admin � Remote Access. Check on HTTP as shown below and click on Apply Changes.

d. Go to Commit/Reboot and check on commit current settings. Click on Reboot.

e. After reboot. You will be able to access to this router via WAN IP outside the network.
