A new concept based on nano-technology

LANCAS Easy-clean functionality is obtained by applying a transparent nano-meter thick coating to the substrate material and provides the surface with highly improved and durable anti-stain properties.

The LANCAS Easy-clean coating can be applied for both in- and outdoor applications.

Outdoor testing indicates a durable effect of LANCAS Easy-clean coating on transparent plastic materials (e.g. polycarbonate, PMMA, …)

Lancas Easy-clean coating ensures higher transparency over long period of time thanks to avoidance of dirt pick-up by the surface.

In addition, the initial transparency can be increased by the nano coating

LANCAS Easy-clean technology can provide improved transmission on transparant substrates

An active clean effect on mid term

During the outdoor exposure (Ghent, Belgium 2010/2011) the surface of reference glass becomes less transparent due to dirt accumulation while an Easy-clean glass surface keeps the transmission almost constant over time.

Remark: the LANCAS Easy-clean layers for this sample have not been optimised for good easy clean behaviour and increase of transmission.
