Justice Jayanatilal Chhotalal Shah, retired CJI of Supreme Court was asked to Inquire into the widespread misuse & abuse of power during the imposition of double emergency, external & internal in 1975-77 by Indira Gandhi Govt.The Report was previously pulled out from circulation from the market by Indira Gandhi when she became Prime Minister again in 1980. However, former MP Era Sezhiyan had all the three volumes preserved in his Library. The same were reproduced in December 2010 with the help of Aazhi Publications.
