SeaLand Unveils Miramar, Florida Headquarters

- January 23rd ribbon cutting ceremony launched new headquarters for intra-Americas containerizedtransportation company, with Governor Rick Scott in attendance –

Miramar, Florida, January 26, 2015 – SeaLand, the intra-Americas regional ocean carrierof the Maersk Group, announces today that its Miramar, Florida headquarters was officially openedFriday, January 23rd. Craig Mygatt, SeaLand’s CEO, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony withGovernor Rick Scott and other Florida officials present for the celebration. Governor Scottwelcomed SeaLand to the state and used the event to announce the strong December 2014 Floridajobs numbers. SeaLand has so far contributed 65 new Florida jobs.

At the grand opening, Governor Rick Scott presented Craig Mygatt, SeaLand CEO, with an “Ambassador of Business” award.

SeaLand was launched on January 1, 2015 to service the growing Americas trade region. Severalmajor factors played into the timing of SeaLand entering this region including: the Panama Canalexpansion, near-sourcing and demand for year round produce. Refrigerated transportation is aparticular strength of the ocean carrier.
