Key finding:

Self organizing teams only works in mature teams.

Subject for Discussion: Can SCRUM be implemented without

Lack of support tools

Problems:Hard to do effective SCRUM without Software Craftsmanship established

No Unit testsNo Auto tests

Collaboration tool vs Scrum board on the Wall ?Especially in a distributed environment

Key Finding:Implement automated tests to have Effective SCRUM

ProblemAll features ready at last sprint. Nothing to deliver prior to the last sprint.

Key findingsMake sure to have something to deliver after each sprint and YES IT IS HARD !

Summary

Deliver each sprint. I.e need to have good WBS.

Make sure to have automated tools in place.

Go “all-in” on the change. Hard to succeed in a step-wise approach

Visit all SCRUM meetings

Team cannot self organize -must be mature team.
