Schoology - our LMS

● What is a Learning Management System? ● How does an LMS impact learning?● What is blended learning?

Schoology… So much more than just gradebook and homework list!

● Blended Learning● Learning Goals● Lessons● Resources● Assignments● Activities● Self-Checks● Tests/Quizzes

Lessons… Not just watching a video, but adding reflection questions and applicable notes to give students guidance into key concepts.

Lessons… Face-to-face lessons don’t stay in the classroom! Include a photo of the white board in the room including audio narration of teacher reminding students what they talked about.

Assignments… Not just online assignments, but also direction for face-to-face, collaborative activities and Rubrics for rich direction and feedback. Turn in Google Docs, photos, and more!

Discussions... Not just online classroom chats around a rich topic, but also an opportunity for guidance in follow-up face-to-face conversations with small group and teacher.

Assessments… Not just online tests, but the ability to provide immediate feedback in the form of text, video, images, and charts based on the answers given.

Targeted feedback to each student!

Extension... Schoology allows for more student choice in their learning PATH and PACE.

Schoology provides a way to deliver individualized resources to students so that all can reach their highest potential.
