REVOLUTION YEAR 1989

1. Why is this year (2009) very important concerning the revolution in 1989?

In 2009, it was 20 years from the falling communism. We got rid of communism and

we are very happy in this thing.

We asked in class 1L, what they know about the revolution year 1989

2. What was going on and how it went?

We wanted the end of communism in Czechoslovakia and everything turned out

well. We introduced the democratic government and nobody was injured or killed.

3. Who stood opposite whom and did your parents demonstrate?

Communists stood opposite normal people, who didn´t want communism. Parents usually

demonstrated and they wanted democracy too.

4. Which singers couldn’t sing in the 1980s?

Marta Kubišová, Karel Kryl and Jaroslav Hutka couldn’t sing.

5. Are you satisfied that communism finished and we have a democratic state?

Yes, we are very safisfied. We hope that communism will not come back. Communism bounded people and we couldn´t travel. But I

think that people wrongly undestood the word DEMOCRATIC!
