Vision
Mimosa Park Elementary is a learning organization in which teachers, parents and the community support teaching and
learning by providing students with the necessary tools to become independent and self-directed, life-long learners. We
embrace the diversity of our children through a safe, respectful and nurturing environment that focuses on rigorous standards.
Through the collaboration of all stakeholders, there is a commitment to help all students become college and career ready so
they may lead productive and fulfilling lives to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Mimosa Park Elementary is dedicated to producing self-directed, life-long learners by engaging our students in varied,
meaningful and rigorous learning opportunities within a safe and nurturing environment so all students reach their potential.

Values/Beliefs
1. We work collaboratively to improve the school experience for parents, students, faculty, administration and the
community.
2. We recognize each child as an individual with different needs and strengths and will work to meet each child’s needs by
implementing the best research-based instructional practices.
3. We consistently use performance data to create work that includes rigor, depth and complexity for students.
4. We continually strive to grow professionally and remain flexible and open to new ideas.
5. We maintain open communication between and among parents, students, faculty, administration and the
community.
6. We model a positive attitude and treat all members of the school community in a respectful and caring manner.
