Come to the Water!
It’s summer time and if you are like many around
here in the Panhandle, you want to hang out in the
water. As I write this my son is in swimming lessons.
Many of you are taking off for the lakes. On Facebook
I have several friends who have been posting pictures
of fish they’ve recently caught from mountain streams
and lakes. And we have been blessed by the recent
rains. There is nothing like water in the summertime!
And even though we are in Canyon, TX, you don’t have to travel to find
water. Just join us on Sunday mornings in July as we “Come to the
Water” in worship. In this sermon series we will be focusing on Jesus
and the theme of water in scripture from the Wedding at Cana, to the
Samaritan woman at the well, to the healing at the pool of Bethesda.
I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Blessings,
Rick Enns

Hi to all,
I just wanted to say thank you, thank you for
all your prayers for me for my surgery coming
up. I am so scared. The doctor said it would
be a good 2 hour surgery, he has to put a rod
in my leg. I go for a stress test July 23rd &
then the surgery, August 2nd. I am hangin’
on, with my family & church family & my God,
everything will be OK, if I can just settle myself
down & have faith & trust.
I love & miss you all, and I sure do miss my
hugs.
As always,
Dollie
Thank you to all the caring people who wrote
us condolences, sent flowers, and gave hugs
personally on the death of my brother, Glyn,
recently. It touched my heart that so many of
you care, but then that is what "The Church" is
all about. Our church is not just a building, but
a wonderful body of people who are "The
Church" and that's what we are supposed to
be. Thanks from the bottom of my heart! Our
"Church" is the best!
