According to times of India, food worth Rs. 50 Thousand Crore goes waste in India every year.

Farmers have very little info about plant disease and the treatment.

Summary – Present Scenario

The Govt has provided farmers with free help over the phone.

The Farmers call the call centers and tell them their Problem

The call center reply with the solution and appropriate knowledge.

Problems The experts sitting at call center can’t

see the actual state of crop and intensity of damage.

The farmer is not always able to explain the state of crop completely.

Solution

“A picture is worth thousand words”

If the expert gets a picture of the crop somehow, then the solution given will be more accurate.

Procedure

Farmer click photograph of crop

App sends that picture (With mobile number) to expert.

Farmer then calls expert and tells him/record the

problem

Expert listen to farmer and see

photograph of crop he is describing

about.

The solution is told/sent as an SMS

to the farmer.

Farmer receives solution and acts

accordingly.

An app for windows phone 8 is ready to be deployed.

The control panel for expert is made on windows azure.

Progress

The app will be made for every phone having a camera facility.

The control panel can be integrated with the existing panel used by the experts.

Aadhar card can be used for identifying a farmer uniquely and keep track of his past record/ advice given by expert to him.
