Welcome!
A warm welcome is extended to all who come to St. Mary’s-Stony Hill to join together in this community of worship and praise to Almighty God. We are grateful to our faithful parishioners and welcome our neighbors and guests who visit us occasionally. We want you to know that you are always welcome! All parishioners should be registered with the parish office. Please notify the parish office if you change your address or move out of the parish. Certificates of eligibility to sponsor at Baptism or Confirmation will be given only to registered parishioners who are active and practicing Catholics.
Parish Directory:
We offer religious education for children of registered parishioners who attend public school grades Pre-K thru 8. Preparation for the Sacraments of First Penance, First Holy Communion and Confirmation is also provided for students who attend Catholic schools. The Confirmation Program is a two-year preparation program. Students may not enroll into 8th grade, unless they complete our 7th grade program or attend a Catholic school. Please check our website or contact the Office of Religious Education at 908-756-6524 ext.16 for more information.

The Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary time
Stewardship Scripture Reflection
“The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word but then the cares of the world and the
lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit.”
Matthew 13:22
Does the lure of riches and material goods choke God out of your life? Are you so caught up in earthly activities that you have no time for God? Gratitude and generosity are virtues that we should strive to do on a daily basis. Every decision we make either takes us one step closer to God or one step further away. What we receive at Mass every Sunday should be shared with others all the other days of the week as well.
Thank you for your continued contributions to
our parish. Your financial support, especially at
this time, is so greatly appreciated.
While we are limited in celebrating Mass together publicly, we will not publish a weekly collection in the bulletin. Instead, we will publish the amount collected at the end of the month which will include both WeShare (online donations) and donations dropped off/mailed to the parish office.
Thank you and God bless you!

As of June 22nd, attendance at Mass is limited to 100 people.
Your safety is always our top priority.
We will continue to monitor the directives from the State of New Jersey and our Diocese and make
adjustments as needed. We apologize for any inconvenience you experience during this
time of transition.
Current information is available on our parish website (stmaryswatchung.org)
or phone the parish office at 908-756-6524 ext. 10.
The dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation continues in effect. If you are not comfortable attending Mass
publicly at this time, you should stay at home. If you are feeling sick, you must stay at home. We will continue to livestream Mass on our parish Facebook page and post the recording on our parish website for
you to watch at your convenience.

church parking lot between 4:45 and 5:10 pm on Saturdays and from 10:45 to 11:10 am on Sundays
to receive Holy Communion in their cars.
We are happy to be able to welcome you back to church in whatever way is appropriate for you
and your family. Be safe and know that you are in our prayers.

Upcoming Sacraments: First Holy Communion and Confirmation
We are pleased to share the dates for the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation,
which have recently been scheduled. In order to accommodate the required social distancing, we
will be celebrating the Sacraments on multiple dates, and attendance is limited. Parents of 2nd
and 8th Graders have received information from our Religious Education Office with all of the
details. We look forward to celebrating these Sacraments!
Confirmation
July 16, August 6, August 20, September 17
(Thursday evenings)
First Holy Communion
August 15 and August 22
(Saturday mornings)
In addition, some families have chosen to celebrate their child’s
First Holy Communion at an upcoming Sunday morning Mass.
Remember in Prayer
We offer our sincere sympathy to the family of Deacon Thomas Sicola, Sr., who was recently called home to the Father. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in God’s Peace.
Baby Bottle Boomerang
We appreciate all of your donations toward the Baby Bottle Boomerang Program that was coordinated by our Knights of Columbus this spring. We raised over $5,700 for the Center for Great Expectations (CGE). Thank you!
CGE serves over 1000 women, men, and children on an annual basis. Many of these individuals are homeless or economically marginalized, pregnant or parenting, or living with mental health or substance use disorders. They have remained steadfast in their commitment to provide dignified and comprehensive care in an effort to break the generational cycle of abuse, homelessness, and substance abuse.
If you still have a baby bottle, please return it full or empty so we may use it for next year’s program. Thank you!
Bishop’s Annual Appeal
Thank you for your generosity to this year’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal. We are happy to share that we have successfully reached our parish goal! As of this month, pledges to the Appeal totaled 100.5% of our goal (99% of those pledges have been paid). We are so grateful for your generous response. As you may know, the parish receives a rebate equal to 50% of all funds raised over the goal. Every gift, great or small, is most graciously appreciated. Thank you so much!
