This lookbook is an annual introduction to SkLO:LIT, our collection of lights featuring handblown Czech glass.

Here we present new work, new ideas, new points-of-view.

The desire to bring light to glass is irresistible. It is precisely this unique relationship with light that makes hand blown glass so magical. To bring control to this light, this relationship is what we explore.

Our process of design and development is painstaking. We bring metal to the glass to give structure, support, and scale. Rather than an afterthought, it is the relationship between metal and glass the drives the designs. The two are given equal consideration. The influence of SkLO designers Karen Gilbert and Paul Pavlak’s backgrounds as jeweler, metalsmith, artist, and architect reveals itself in each piece.

SkLO is a design and manufacturing company with locations in both California (SkLO US) and the Czech Republic (SkLO EU). We produce lighting to serve global markets, with certifications such as UL listing and CE marking available.
