PARTNERING WITH CHAFFEY COLLEGE

• In the Dual Enrollment Program, students will have the opportunity to satisfy lower division/general education breadth requirements at both the California State University and at the University of California by taking Chaffey College courses that are transferrable to CSU and/or UC.

• Courses may also be applied toward high school graduation requirements.

• College classes count as a permanent grade on the student’s college transcript.

• Tuition, fees, and textbooks are free to high school students who take classes on a high school campus.

ADMISSION CRITERIA TO THE PROGRAM

•Ayala HS student in grade 11 or 12• Please note, if students in grades 9 or 10 are interested in taking classes, they may

appeal to be enrolled using the High School Partnership Program appeals process.

•2.5 GPA or above• Students with a GPA below a 2.5 may appeal using the High School Partnership

Program appeals process.

PLEASE NOTE… Chaffey College & CVUSD have different calendars

*Classes will NOT meet on Chaffey College holidays or CVUSD holidays

APPLICATION PROCESS• Required online application

workshop & orientation on January 10, 2018 at 2:30 PM room F-130.

• There will be nomath/English placement testing for high school students taking classes on a high school campus

• Students are requested to bring their completed High School Partnership Packet(aka the registration packet) to Dr. Mead by On January 17, 2018.

Students who have already completed the Chaffey College online application only need to submit their registration packet.

AYALATRANSCRIPT

• To post your Chaffey College course grade(s) to your Ayala High School transcript, you need to provide an official Chaffey transcript (sealed) and a Chino Valley USD Course Agreement Form.

• Chaffey College dual enrollment courses are worth 5 elective credits on your Ayala transcript. These are the classes that take place on the high school campus.

• Many Chaffey College courses also meet A-G high school requirements!

First Day of Classes: • January 29, 2018 for

Monday/Wednesday classes• January 30, 2018 for

Tuesday/Thursday classes

Application Process: • January 10, 2018 @ 2:30 PM

• Mandatory student orientation/sign orientation packet

• Complete the online Chaffey application

• January 17, 2018• Deadline for students to submit

completed registration packet• Students record their Chaffey ID

number on their orientation packet

• School will print student transcript
