Rice Public Art Program Overview
• President Leebron’s V2C to incorporate art into the campus landscape and interior public spaces resulted in ½ percent-for-art program
• Art committee comprised of trustees, staff, faculty and community members oversees program and develops master plan for artworks
• Work with diverse group of established and emerging artists
• Site-specific artworks in a variety of media,responsive to context and audience
• Temporary and permanent installations
