MARCH (CONTINUED)Thu 20 7.30pm Special Event Joint RHS/Institute of Horticulture

Lecture – ‘The Olympic Park Flower Meadows – An Inspiration for Public Green Spaces’It seems highly likely that a majority of the near 5 million people, who visited the Olympic Park in 2012, were excited, moved or, at the very least, constructively perplexed by the planting they saw. What, therefore, are the ideas and principles that we might extract from the work done to achieve these areas, and how could they apply to other green spaces and gardens around the UK? Dr James Hitchmough, of Sheffield University, was the expert behind the project, so come and get the answers.
