Natalie Nel
Natalie Nel was born on 21 February 1984 in Worcester, Western Cape, South Africa. She is
currently ‘n lecturer of a postgraduate Diploma in Nursing: Health Assessment, Treatment
and Care at Stellenbosch University.
Natalie completed her BCUR degree; Postgraduate Diploma: Health Assessment, Treatment
and Care; Postgraduate Diploma: Nursing Education and MCUR degree at Stellenbosch
University. She is currently doing her Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Management.
Natalie started her career as a Registered Nurse and Midwife at Stellenbosch Public Hospital
and her spesialities were Casualty/Trauma and Maternity/Labour. After completing her
Postgraduate Diplome: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care, Stellenbosch University
approached her to be a part time mentor for the clinical component of this specific diploma. In
2009 Natalie started to work at Stellenbosch University as a full time lecturer on the
Postgraduate Diploma: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care. She is currently working
towards publishing her first article.
Natalie started a birthday wish list at an orphanage and is currently coordinating the birthdays
of the orphans for the past two years. She is also part of an action netball team. Natalie has a
passion to work with the community, developing community projects in order to educate the
community to better themselves.
