Visitors  have  no  be.er  proof  that  one  has    made  a  jour5ey  than  by  taking  a  photo.    But  when  is  taking  a  pict=re  offensive    to  others?  If  you  want  to  do  things  right,  ask  perBission.  Put  yourself  in  the  shoes  (or  huaraches)  of  those  you  are  visiting.  Would  you  want  stHangers  to  take  your  photo  without  your  consent?  Practice  empathy.  

Bonus  points  if  you  take  photos  that  locals  request  –  this  is  one  way  of  practicing  the  Platinum  Rule:  t-eating  others  the  way  they  wish  to  be  t-eated!
