The following expenses are covered by the Season Fee: Season Registration, Practice ice, Coaches’ Hourly Rate,
Coaches’ Administrative Fee, Choreography Fee, Fall Clinics, Winter Camp, Intensives, and all competition
registrations, makeup and props. Skaters will commit to one hour of on-ice and 30 minutes of off-ice per week to be
held on Mondays from 5:00 PM – 6:40 PM. The team will participate in the 2017 USFS National TOI Competition (June 28,
2017 – July 1, 2017), with an option to participate in the Magic City Ice Classic (tentatively July 28-30) and the Rocket
City Classic (September 15-17).
New skater fees will include a jacket and hair bow for ladies, or a jacket for men. The cost for this is $100 for ladies
and $85 for men, which is due with registration.
The following expenses are not covered by this year’s Season Fee and will be handled separately: CE and FS
Costumes, Travel expenses for skaters and coaches (including hotel, per diem, mileage, and flight/car rental where
applicable), Apparel, Souvenirs, Pins and non-skater admissions.
In the course of the season, in order to prepare for a particular competition, it may be necessary to secure
additional ice time. If this occurs, there may be an additional fee assessed for both ice time and coaches’ fees.
Scheduled Camps and Intensives are included in the monthly rate and every effort will be made to minimize extra
practices.
The Season Fee is subject to the Terms and Conditions as listed in this agreement and may be paid ahead of
schedule, if desired. The Season Fee has been projected for 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 skaters (see Financial Obligations
Form, back side). The fee will increase or decrease, depending on the final team member count. More skaters will
decrease the cost. Fewer skaters will increase the cost. Please see the chart on the Financial Obligations Form for
examples. All checks should be payable to Rocket City Stars TOI. A PayPal account has been set up to make
payments. A fee of 2.9% + $.30 will be charged to use PayPal. You can find the link on the website at
http://www.RocketCityStars.com/Payments.html, or a link will be on your monthly statement. Final fees based on total
registered members will be communicated to parents via mail and email no later than September 23, 2016.
By accepting this payment plan you agree to make all payments by the due dates outlined on
reverse side. If a payment is more than 10 days late, a fee of $25 will be charged. In the event that
payment is not made within 90 days of the due date, the remaining seasonal fee plus any late fees
will be assessed.

Additional TERMS and CONDITIONS
1. Skaters are not considered to be active until the Treasurer receives this signed agreement and registration fee, and all past fees
have been paid in full. Inactive skaters may not participate in skating events or practices, or in fundraising activities.

2. The Skater Family agrees to the final monthly fees, no matter the final member count. The numbers laid out in the Session Fee
section on the Financial Obligations Form are only projections. Final fees will be determined by total number of registered skaters
as of September 19, 2016. _______ (initial)
3. This financial commitment is irrevocable. Cancellation or proration of fees is not permitted. As a nonprofit organization, our
budget is based on the number of financial commitments; therefore, the undersigned understands that a nonpayment or
partial payment of fees would put this organization at financial risk. _______ (initial)
4. Alternative payment plans will be considered by submission in writing to the Treasurer and President for approval. All season
fees must be current prior to departure for the 2017 National TOI Competition. _______ (initial)
5. Fundraising credits will be applied at the close of each fundraiser to the families that have participated and have remitted all
fundraising proceeds. Scrip rebates will be credited on a monthly basis.
6. Final Season Fees will be published no later than September 23, 2016.
7. All apparel, souvenir, and non-skater admission ticket orders must be paid in full prior to the placement of the order. Fundraising
credits may be applied to apparel and pins. Credits may not be applied to souvenir and non-skater admission ticket orders.

8. Delinquent accounts may affect the skater’s eligibility. A delinquent account will be reviewed by the Treasurer and President
for appropriate action, which may include removal of the skater from competitions up to dismissal of the skater from the team.
Failure to pay an outstanding balance under the terms of this agreement may result in a skater being considered not in good

9. All reasonable costs associated with collecting past due amounts will be the responsibility of the applicable family.

10. The Skater should abide by the rules, as listed in the Rocket City Stars Rules and Regulations. Violation of these rules may incur a

11. The Skater must be available any time during the period of June 17- June 25 for the TOI National Competition. There will be two
days of competition with practice ice held the day before, during which the team will be in Evansville, Indiana. _______ (initial)
12. The Skater acknowledges that practices are held on Mondays and agrees to the attendance policy set forth in the Rocket City
Stars Rules and Regulations. _______ (initial)
13. The Skater Family agrees that if the skater is removed from the team for reasons of continued, unexcused absence, or failure to
adhere to the rules of conduct set forth in the Rules and Regulations, the Family will still be liable for all fees through the

Rules and Regulations
2016 – 2017 Season
1. ALL June practices and ALL competition dates are mandatory. NO exceptions!
2. Skater should be on time for all practices. If a skater is more than 5 minutes late or leaves
early, that practice will count as half of an absence.
3. Skater is required to check in with Mollie Holder prior to each practice.
4. Skater may miss no more than one on-ice practice and one off-ice practice per semester.
Additional absences must be pre-approved by the President and Ginger Gober, or be
submitted as soon after an illness as possible. Absence request must be submitted in writing
via letter or email.
5. Continued, unexcused absences will result in removal from team. The skater will still be
responsible for payment of Season Fees even if removed for reasons of delinquent
attendance.
6. If a skater is sick, but able to sit and has no fever, they must watch practice from the bench.
7. No gum will be allowed at practices or competitions.
8. Skater will wear practice uniform of solid black pants and solid black top along with the
team jacket to all practices and competition practice ice. CE leotard and pants should not
be worn to practice.
9. Hair must be pulled up and away from the face and should remain secure for the entirety of
each practice.
10. Tennis shoes are required for all off-ice practices and warm ups during the season and at
competitions.
11. Skaters and parents are expected to express positive and encouraging behavior and
language at all practices and events.
12. The use of cell phones during practices is strictly prohibited except in an emergency
situation. All cell phones must be kept in the skater’s locker or bag during practice. Water
and bathroom breaks are not cell phone breaks.
13. No jewelry, nail polish, or piercings of any kind are allowed during competition.
14. Skaters must come to competitions prepared with all pieces to costumes, makeup, hair
pieces, etc.
15. All skaters are required to attend and participate in all fundraising events. Failure to
participate without prior, written authorization from Board President will result in a fee
charged to the family of no more than the total raised divided by the attending or
participating number of members.
