Principal’s Report

Hello and welcome to week 3.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend

and a Happy Mothers’ Day. Hopefully you found

some time to show your appreciation of those in our lives who

do so much.

The recent weeks have certainly been very different to what

we would have originally foreseen at the beginning of the

year. The challenges faced by families and staff have been

unique and difficult, requiring us to go about our work and

indeed lives very differently. However, we can be very

thankful and proud. Thankful that we live in a great area of

the world and within a strong, state and local community. We

should feel proud of our teachers and staff who have quickly

adapted, putting in even extra time and effort, to ensure the

wellbeing and learning of all Ramco students continues to be

supported, no matter what the circumstances.

I personally would like to thank this fantastic team of staff for

their unwavering, ‘can do’, attitude as well as our families who continually support our

actions in wanting the best for students at this school. Because of you all, we are well-

positioned to provide the best sense of ‘normality’ at school for our students. Our continued

focus on improving learning whilst managing the positive wellbeing of students hasn’t

changed. Our school values and focus on Powerful Learners

hasn’t changed. We may have not been able to participate in

as many school events, or the variety of extra-curricular activities

normally on offer, but students are still able to see their friends,

have fun and aspire to learn in a safe setting.

Hopefully now with a national and state plan for easing COVID-19 restrictions, we can

expect further, positive changes in the coming months and even weeks ahead. We will

keep you informed of any changes relevant to Ramco Primary as soon as they come to

fruition via Seesaw.

Regards,

Rob Smyth

PCW NEWS

Be Kind

Talking to young people about being kind is

easy when you know how someone being

kind to you can make you feel.

It’s always good to know that when a young person feels

kindness, they are more inclined to reciprocate by being

kind to another young person.

Kindness shared is kindness spread.

We don’t always know what the experience feels like, until

we have seen it happen. That’s why it’s important that we

as adults and carers in the lives of our children, find ways to

show our kids how to be kind.

Your PCW,

Tamara.

Friday 5th June Waikerie Out Of Hours School Care will

open if enough bookings are received.
