I want to explore the rainforest to see what plants and animals live there. I also want to see what the animals eat.

• It may take twenty minutes for the rain to reach the ground. There are days when the rain just pours and pours.
• The largest rainforests in the world are found in tropical parts of four continents.The four continents are North and South America Asia and Africa.
• Plants in the rainforest are very helpful to people. They provide wood, food and medicine.

• Tropical rainforests are large areas of trees.They grow where it is rainy all year.
• Rainforests are near the equator. This area is warm all year long. Millions of animals live in the rainforest. Birds perch on top of branches and trees. More kinds of trees grow in rainforests than anywhere else on earth. The trees stay green all year.
