The children in Mrs. Summer’s class
were hoping for snow in January. No
snow...No problem! The children
improvised and created igloos in-
doors. The kids pretended they
were skating on ice indoors
down the hallways and made im-
aginary snow angels on the rug.
The children had lots of fun!

The children learned about The Arts
at Jackie Watson Child Develop-
ment Center. Mark is a musician
and he visited and sang songs with
the children. The children loved
having Mark there!

Two officers from the Durant
Police Department visited Ms.
Crystal’s and Mrs. Patty’s class
at Jackie Watson Center. The
kids loved their visit!
NASCSP CONFERENCE
Allen Leaird, Big Five Transportation and Weatheri-
zation Director; Vaughn Clark, Director of Community
Development for Oklahoma Department of Com-
merce; Kent Watson, Big Five Executive Director;
and Isaac Davis, Office of Community Services,
CSBG Program Liaison Region VI attended the
NASCSP Conference in Washington, DC.

UNITED WAY "BE A HERO" 5K & FUN RUN
Thank you to all of the Big Five
volunteers and participants in the
5K run.
Woodward High School students have been
coming weekly to read to Head Start and Early
Head Start students In Woodward. The children
love it! Thank you!

The Cat in the Hat visited Yukon Head Start and
Early Head Start on March 2nd. The kids ate green
eggs and ham for breakfast. The children loved it!
