• PsycTESTS is a research database that provides information on
tests that originated in the scholarly literature.
• Resource for students learning how to construct measures
• An ideal starting point for researchers initiating new research
projects & developing their own instruments
What is PsycTESTS®?
• Tests from articles, book chapters, dissertations, technical reports.
Some author submissions, others were “lost”
• PsycTESTS now includes 45,000 records; full or partial version
available for just over 50%
• 1896 to present. 77% are from 2000 and later
• Updated monthly
What’s In PsycTESTS®?
• Professionally indexed, detailed records
• Most tools are not commercially available; they can be used
for non-commercial research, which includes general clinical
use
• Helps researchers avoid "reinventing the wheel" & students
find tests for assignments
• Multiple measures, research instruments, and test types in a
variety of subject areas
Why Use PsycTESTS®?
• Descriptive summaries of the test and its development and
administration
• Citations and links to articles that discuss the development of
the test and how it can be used
