PSG Centre for Non-formal & Continuing Education (PSGCNCE) was established in the year 1989. The Centre is headedby a Dean, who is assisted by an Admissions Counsellor. Themain function of the centre is to plan and disseminate latestexplosion of knowledge and developments in various fields ofScience and Technology for the benefit of executives and otherworking professionals in various business and industrialorganizations, faculty and student community of educationalinstitutions and public at large by organizing regular well plannedand job oriented part-time and full-time short durationprogrammes. The continuing education programmes are essentialand beneficial to update the knowledge of the employed personnelwho have graduated long time back. Most of the times, thecurricula of various formal educational programmes in the schools, colleges and universities do not cover the latest developments inthe concerned fields of study and specialization and hence suchwell designed short term programmes are much more essentialfor regular students to get prepared for their employment.
The Centre performs continuous study of latest developmentsand identifies the areas which will be useful to students / publicand job oriented. It establishes rapport with various industries /organizations to identify the areas of their interest. The selectedcoordinators of the programmes plan and execute themmeticulously involving external experts wherever necessary. Someof the industries / organizations for whom special tailor madetraining programmes conducted are listed on inside back cover.
This booklet contains some programmes proposed by thecoordinators which are by no means static but subject tocontinuous updation.
