The Company
Denise Gaylord started her acting career when she was born on Halloween some many moons ago. A lot of stuff happened after that, and then Guy Wolf and others from the Provincetown Theater Company worked toward getting Denise off the streets and on the stage. Denise is also thrilled to work with Lynda, Susan &Judith, who she has known for years. And thanks to the playwright Jacqueline for writing her play, and seeking her out for the part of "Fran". And Denise would also like to thank Patty for her support as of late.
Susan Grilli has trained and worked in theatre notably American Conservatory Theatre, Arena Stage, New Playwrights, and LaMama. She is glad to be part of this years playwright's festival and feels fortunate to have such fun work and talented actors onstage. Thanks to New Playwrights, once again, for making this opportunity available to so many writers, directors and actors.
Jackie Loring is the Executive Director of the Cape Cod Writers Center, is both a screenwriter and a playwright and a member of NPP's bi-weekly Playwrights' Lab.
Judith Partelow (Director) is always delighted to introduce new works to audiences as an actress or director, and is very pleased to have been invited to direct Jacqueline Loring's first playreading. Kudos to the NPP for continuing to
present opportunities for the development of American theatre.
Lynda Sturner's short plays have been produced in New York, Tokyo, Provincetown and Los Angeles. Look What You Made Me Do won the Panelists and Audience Choice Award a t the Last Frontier Theatre Festival and was published by The Woman's Project. Her Death of Hued Newton played in Tokyo and was published by Broadway Play Publishing. Her play Arte Brute written with Jim Daglish was runner up for best play by The Cape Cod Times. She was Artistic Director of the Provincetown Repertory Theatre. She began her life in the theatre working as an actress on Broadway in Oliver.
The mission of the New Provincetown Players is to sponsor new play development and productions by American artists; produce professional and non- professional theater; provide educational and training opportunities for youth and adults; and to maintain the Provincetown Theater as a performing arts venue for the Cape Cod community.
New Provincetown Players member and non-member subscriptions are available for the productions of Forever Plaid, Mud, Ado About Nothing, Wade, Seth Rudetsky f i e Andrews Boys, lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill.
