Transcript of Project houses (page2)

Day 1: On October 29, 2012, we shared

the story of the “Three Little Pigs.” This

will enhance their literacy and language

skills. The student also brought

materials that were used in the story

(twigs, sticks, & bricks). These

materials will enhance and exercise

their sense of touch.

Day 2: On October 30, 2012, we sorted

and identified shapes like square,

circle, rectangle and triangle. After

identifying them, they started putting it

up together, building their own houses.

This activity enhanced their math skills

(shapes) and creativity.

Day 3: On November 5, 2012 our

activity for that day was to explore the

materials that

build a house –

bricks, windows

(glass), and

wood.

Day 4: On November 6, 2012, we did a

role-playing where the children used

their imagination in playing the part of

a builder/carpenter.

Day 5: On November 8, 2012 we

started building our own house using

modeling clay and Popsicle sticks. This

enhanced their fine motor skills

(pinching and sticking).

Day 6: To wrap up our project, on

November 9, 2012, we painted the

house that they have built the other

day.
