INTRODU C TION

The Video Library Management System deals in management of records. The records includevideos which are required by different customers accordingly. Maintaining these recordsmanually becomes difficult thus we are proving such system a computerized backend.

A library database needs to store information pertaining to its users.(or customers), its workers, the physical locations of its branches, andthe media stored in those locations.

The library must keep track of the status of each media item: itslocation, status, descriptive attributes, and cost for losses and latereturns.In order to allow multiple copies of the same video, each mediaitem will have a unique ID number.

Customers will provide their name, address, phone number, and password when signing up for alibrary card. They will then be assigneda unique login id and password.Each library card will haveits own fines, but active fines on any of a customer's cards will preventthe customer from using the library's services.

To develop an Video Library Management System .

The Library Management deals in management of records. Records include videos required bycustomers accordingly. Maintaining these records manually becomes difficult. Automatedsystems help in maintaining these records easily. Thus a lot of time can be saved and correctinformation about the student can be accessed .

CONCLUSION

This project is designed to meet the requirements of the users. The software project is very big and

includes almost all the ways of video library management. It has been developed in JAVA keeping in mind

the specifications of the system.

Overall the project teaches us the essential skills like:

Using system analysis and design techniques like data flow diagram in designing the system.

Understanding the database handling and query processing using My SQL.

SCOPE OF FUTURE APPLICATION

This project can be used in the Libraries with adding some more useful modules in the project.
