Innovating Health with 3D Technology

My name is Katelyn Rhodes and that is exactly what I'm planning to do!

I grew up wanting to be a rider and trainer in one of the most dangerous sports: 3-day Eventing

I have had the opportunity to explore the latest innovations in equine health and seen how little we can do for most injuries.

In 2010-2012 I worked as a Barn Manager at Exalt & Salute Training and took care of 22 horses.

I was able to work on rehabbing a few horses while I was there using many different methods.

I decided the job just wasn't working for me so I decided to use my skills and creativity and founded KDartMedia.

I Film, photograph, edit, and publish sales videos of Equine Athletes to help reach more potential buyers.

I soon realized I needed a degree and I began exploring Universities to pursue Game Art.

I am now completing my Game Art Bachelor of Science at

Full Sail University with an expected graduation of June of 2017.

After exploring 3D Arts at Full Sail University I have seen the potential to use 3D technology in sports medicine.

I work on the side as an equine massage therapist to help me understand how their bodies work and heal.

When I graduate I will continue to practice and research any new technologies in the gaming and health industries.

There are quite a few reasons why I’m the best person to accomplish these goals!

I have learned a lot of skills through out my life. Working with horses taught me to be hard working and patient.

My work with KDartMedia taught me problem solving and how to be self driven.

I am really stubborn and don't let anything stop me!

I have extensive troubleshooting skills acquired while building computers.

I have a lot of experience working with many different horses and sports from thoroughbreds to Friesians…

and Reining to Foxhunting.

There are a few moments along my journey so far that stand out and make me proud.

I helped successfully rehab a horse with a bowed tendon through laser therapy.

I was offered a job as head trainer with a Friesian breeder due to my exceptional work with a mare they sent my boss.

I received a 109% on a project I worked really hard on in my MCR class.

My ideal position is in a calm environment with a small team of hard working and knowledgeable colleagues.

Success to me is accomplishing my goals and using my skills to help others. Improving the world instead of just being remembered.
