Transformation in construction consist of challenges as sustainability requirements, cost pressure, skills scarcity, new materials, industrial approaches, digitalization. Centria is focusing in two main research areas: • Research of industrial approaches (Product portfolio & Data management, Product development, Productization etc)• Research of operational simulations and simulation pedagogics
The telecommunications industry is going downhill and sub-contractor entrepreneurs are retiring which leaves lack of young talents in this field. Demographic changes have been observed in the recent years. • The NYTi 4.0 Project is an incubator for young entrepreneurs to start new production technology companies supported
by i4.0 into our region.
Incubator for young entrepreneurs
• AI and Robotics in harsh conditions, including environmental monitoring (AIROHARSH project). • Robotics in health-care and social-welfare areas (ROBOSOTE project)• Drone monitoring in extreme artic mining conditions (DROSAMO project)
Potential applications of robotization
Battery technologies
• Car battery recycling methodologies – BATREC project. • Robotized mechanical deconstruction of car batteries – SAAROB project
