Product Design: Brief + Moodboards

What we need

We want to visualize our current product concept for our next presentation. This is not the final product, so does not need to take into account any of the electronics/guts. We’re not trying to solve the industrial design problem right now - we simply need to convey the product concept.

Industrial Design ● 3-5 initial concept 3D sketches by EOD Friday, October 14● On Monday, October 17, team will choose 1 to refine● 1 final 3D rendering of the concept by Thursday, October 20th + 2

versions in context, preferably in grandchild’s room and in grandparent’s living room (or kitchen)

Who is this product for?

Grandparents & Grandchildren

Audience

● Grandparents and grandchildren (ages 6 to 10)

● The object expresses a 1:1 relationship between the grandparent and the grandchild.

Grandkids are the best, and they are what helps all grandparents feel young again!!

What does this product do?

Features & functionality

A pair of simple objects for home use that allows grandparents and school-age grandchildren to communicate without the help of parents. Object should feel like a representation of the other person.

● Voicemail - Leave a short voice message for your grandchild or grandparent.● Visual Messages - Send an emoji to your grandchild or grandparent.● Needs to be charged via wall outlet.● Portable / Moveable / Allow for privacy
