Beginning Drum Set and Drum Circles 3-Hour Workshops for Teachers and Others

Featuring Educator, Ethnomusicologist, and Author

• Take one or more of the 4 3-hour workshops for $35.00 each. New material in each session. • Free to LAUSD and Burbank USD teachers. • Learn how to play beginning jazz, rock and Latin patterns on the standard drum set. • Play hand drums with other percussion instruments (all drums are provided). • Join drum set techniques with bucket drumming for playing in drum circles. • Make simple drums for use in drum circles and with the traditional drum set. • Use ideas from Dr. Woodson’s PMC program called Drum Set in the Classroom. • A Certificate of Participation is available for this workshop upon request.
