On March 13, 1997, the Speaker made a reference to the demise ofShri .Xavier Arakkal, M.P. and former Member, Kerala Legislative AsseJUbly'and Shri Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair, famous film actor.

On April I, 1997 the Speaker made references to the demise of ShriN. Raghava Kurup, Shri Prakulam Bhasi, Shri K. Natarajan Chettiar, ShriM. K. Menon and Shri M. M. Mathai, former Members of Kerala LegislativeAssembly and Shri K. P. Madhavan Nair, former MemberofRajya Sabha.
