Importance of Time Entry

• Even if your firm does not bill per hour, time entry is important– Track Client Realization– Track Staff Realization– Bonus/Incentive Calculation– Evaluate Profitability of the Firm– Budgets

Time Entry Options

• Setup > User Preferences– Default

• Sheet Date to Today’s Date• Date to Today’s Date

– Skipping, Hiding columns• Project Solution• Task Solution• Time Rate

– Client Description– Auto display Task selection

Time Entry Options

• Move the Project column in front of the Engagement column

• Utilize the Comment field• Use field chooser with Desktop Timer

Tips & Tricks

• Update Project/Task status when entering time

• Enter time as work is being done• Enter Admin time for time not worked on

clients• Daily Time portlet on Staff Dashboard• Time Recap portlet on Staff Dashboard• Staff Active Timers portlet on Firm Dashboard
