Quick Setup

1 Turn On Your Equipment

1 Connectthepowercordtothebackoftheprojectorandplugtheotherendintoanelectricaloutlet.

2 OpentheA/V Muteslide(lenscover).Makesuretheslideisopenedcompletely.

3 Removethebatterycoverontheremotecontrol.LocatethetwoAAAbatteriesthatcamewiththeprojectorandinsertthem.Thenreplacethebatterycover.

4 Toturntheprojectoron,pressthe Powerbuttonontheprojectorortheremotecontrol.Theprojectorbeepsonce,andtheprojector’sPowerlightflashesgreenandthenstayson.

Toshutdowntheprojector:

1. Pressthe Powerbuttontwice.

2. Whentheorangelightstopsflashingandtheprojectorbeeps,youcanunplugtheprojector.

3 Choose a Presentation Method

•Toconnecttoanotebook,see“Ifconnectingtoanotebook”below.

•Toprojectoverawirelessnetwork,see“Ifprojectingwirelessly”onthebackofthissheet.

Youmusthaveinstalledtheprojector’sEasyMP®softwareandconfiguredyourprojectorandcomputerbeforeyoucanprojectwirelessly.SeeyourUser’s Guideforinstructions.

•TogiveapresentationstoredonaCompactFlash®memorycard,flashdrive,digitalcamera,orotherUSBstoragedevice,seeChapter5inyourUser’s Guide.

•ToconnecttoyournotebookusingtheincludedUSBcable,seeyourUser’s Guide.

If connecting to a notebook...1 Turnontheprojectorandadjusttheimageasdescribedin

sections1and2onthissheet.

2 Locatethecomputercablethatcamewiththeprojector.Connectoneendtotheprojector’sblueComputer1port.Connecttheotherendtoyournotebook’svideo-outportor

monitorport.

3 PresstheSource Searchbuttonontheprojectororthe

Searchbuttonontheremotecontroluntilyourcomputerimageisdisplayed.

NOTE: IfyournotebookhasaDVIconnector,youneedtousean optionalDVI-to-VGAadapterwiththeincludedcomputercable (seeyourcomputer’sdocumentation).

2 Adjust the Image

1 Toraisetheimage,pressthefootreleasebuttonforthefrontadjustablefootandliftthefront.Releasethebuttontolockthefootinposition.

7 Ifyouseeamessageaskingforakeyword,enterthefourdigitsthatappearontheEasyMPNetworkScreenandclickOK.Youseetheimageonyourmonitortransmittedtotheprojector,andafloatingcontrolbarappearsonthecomputerscreen:

4 Ifyouseeablankscreenoryoudon’tseetheimageyouaretryingtoprojectfromyourcomputer,makesurethePowerlightontheprojectorisgreenandnotflashing,andtheA/V Muteslide(lenscover)isopen.Ifyou‘reusingaPCnotebook,holddowntheFnbuttononthekeyboardandpressthefunctionkeythatletsyoudisplayonanexternalmonitor.Itmayhaveaniconsuchas ,oritmaybelabeledCRT/LCD.(Allowafewsecondsfortheprojectortosyncup.)

5 Ifyourprojectorandnotebookdon’tdisplaythesameimage,dothefollowing:Windows®:TryusingtheCRT/LCDor functionkey,asdescribedabove.Ifthisdoesn’twork,double-clickDisplayintheWindowsControlPanel.InWindowsVista,®right-clickonthedesktopandselectPersonalize,thenselectDisplay Settings.MakesureboththeLCDscreenandmonitorportareenabled.SeeyourWindowsonlinehelpfordetails. Macintosh®: FromtheApple®menu,selectSystem Preferences,thenclickDisplays.SelecttheVGA DisplayorColor LCDdialogbox,clicktheArrangement(or Arrange)tab,andmakesureMirror Displaysischecked.

If projecting wirelessly...Followthestepsinthissectiontoprojectoveran802.11g,802.11b,or802.11awirelessnetworkfromacomputerrunningWindows2000,XP,orWindowsVista,orMacintoshOSX10.3orlater.

1 Installthewirelessmodule.Ifnecessary,secureitusingthescrewincludedwithyourprojector.

2 Turnontheprojectorandadjusttheimageasdescribedinsections1and2onthefrontofthissheet.

3 SelectEasyMPasthesourcebypressingtheEasyMPbuttonontheremotecontrol.
