Dual Axis, Azimuth-Altitude Tracker

• T100 - Dual Axis Tracker• T120 - Dual Axis Tracker
• D150ATLAS - Dual Axis Tracker• D180ATLAS - Dual Axis Tracker
2016• TEMPO - Fixed PV Array
2013• D170EVO - Dual Axis Tracker• S140EVO - Single Axis Tracker• C140EVO - CPV Tracker
• POLO - Horrizontal Single Axis Tracker
• S80ATLAS - Sinlge Axis Tracker• T50 - Single Axis Tracker
INSTALLATION & OPERATIONREMOTE CONTROL AND MONITORINGThe D170EVO is equipped with an advanced
telemetry system which informs you of the
machinery operations in real time.
EASY INSTALLATIONThe installation of the D170EVO is quick and easy
with the highest degree of standardization (plug
& play). All work takes place in the field without
need of experts. The PV modules are easily fixed
on the tracker by using the MEGRIP clamp, which
has been designed exclusively by Mechatron for
that exact purpose.
QUALITYEach system operates independently and
undergoes many hours of operation testing
prior to delivery, in order to satisfy Mechatron’s
operating specifications.
FLEXIBILITYThe D170EVO comes in two variants:
Variant A, can bear up to 100 PV modules
dimensioned 1×1,7 m, resulting 27 kWp
of installed power when using 270 Wp
modules.
Variant B, can bear up to 86 PV modules
dimensioned 1×2 m, resulting 27,5 kWp
of installed power when using 320 Wp
modules.
DESIGNINSPIRATIONThe structure’s design principle is inspiredby the beetle’s exoskeleton, which exhibitssuperior strength to weight ratio. The structureis a combination of an elliptical tube designand a simple lattice structure that holds the PVmodules.
STRENGTHThe elliptical tube, provides significantlysuperior stiffness and strength compared tothe conventional frame designs of other trackermanufacturers. The lattice structure, that supports the PVmodules, is designed to lower the assembly timein the field, while providing high structural rigiditythat protects the PV modules from forces thatoccur on the underframe under extreme externalloads (wind, snow etc).
GEARLESS DRIVEThe zero-backlash hydraulic drive does not usegears or other means of mechanical transmission. The purely hydraulic drive allows for smoothmovement and operation. Also, due to thecontinuous slip capability under strong winds, thedrive mechanism is extremely robust and capableof surviving even hurricane conditions.
DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURINGWe have spent a great deal of time and resources to design products that can be easily manufacturedin any part of the world and we offer theopportunity to our clients to manufacture majorparts of the D170EVO themselves.

SPECIFICATIONS SUMMARY
DIMENSIONING OVERVIEW (for Variant A)
Energy Production Comparison
Conventional bases Mechatron Solar Tracker D170 evolution
EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCEThe D170EVO uses an astronomical algorithm to find the position of the sun. This contributes to maximum solar radiation intake even when it’s cloudy and also helps the tracker to avoid unnecessary movements. This results in an overall better tracking quality and up to 45% greater energy production, ensuring greater benefit per unit of installed capacity in comparison to fixed systems.
