Flowers have 5 large, pink petals which have a

tracery of purple veins running through them.

Flowers grow in clusters at the top of the tall,

hairy stems.

The stem leaves are deeply cut into 5-7

narrow lobes. This is a key feature which

differentiates Musk Mallow from its close

relative, Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris).

How to Identify

A tall plant with pretty pink flowers, which brighten up the

edges and corners of hedges and fields.

The 'musk' in it's common name refers to the pleasant

odour produced by the flowers.

Bring your Musk Mallow plants inside and the musky

smell will get much stronger!
